There are more than 27 million small businesses in the United States. These businesses employ more than half of all private sector employees. However, not much is known about how small businesses operate. Well, today’s infographic by Intuit tries to rectify that.

The infographic tells us what prompted small business owners to start an enterprise. It also provides an account of how owners typically spend a working day. And where they spend it. How owners have adopted technology, especially mobiles, is discussed next.
